What cookies and storage we use
PitchScore uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items to make the app work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Strictly necessary storage
Session and sign-in: we store sign-in session tokens so you stay logged in between pages and visits, and, for assistant coaches who sign in with an access code, a short-lived session so the code does not have to be re-entered on every page.
Voter identity: when you vote for player of the match on a supporters' match page, a random per-device identifier is stored so the app can prevent duplicate votes from the same device.
Coach quick sign-in: optionally, we remember your coach name and saved code so the next visit can offer one-tap sign-in. Clearing your browser storage removes this.
Preferences and app experience
We store a few small preferences in your browser, such as whether you have already dismissed the 'add to home screen' install prompt, so the app does not nag you with the same message repeatedly.
These items are not cookies in the traditional sense — they are local browser storage — but they behave similarly and are covered by this policy.
Analytics
We collect basic, anonymous usage analytics (for example page views and feature usage counts) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Third parties
Payments are processed by Stripe. Where a payment form sets cookies or local storage, those are governed by Stripe's own policies. We do not allow advertising networks to place cookies through the app.
Managing cookies and storage
You can clear or block cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings. Note that clearing strictly necessary storage will sign you out, reset your voter identifier, and remove saved coach sign-in details.
