Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 8 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of PitchScore, the match-day companion for grassroots football, available at the PitchScore website and any installed home-screen version of the app.
By creating an account, redeeming an access code, or using any part of the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Who can use the app
Coach and manager features are intended for responsible adults involved in running a football team, such as head coaches, assistant coaches and team managers. You must be at least 16 years old to hold a coach account.
Supporter features (viewing a live match, voting for player of the match) are open to anyone holding a valid match share link. Where a match involves youth teams, the responsible coach is responsible for deciding who the share link is sent to.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and any personal access codes secure, and for all activity carried out under them.
3. Subscriptions and access
PitchScore offers a paid annual premium plan and free access granted through access codes. The features available to you depend on the plan shown on your profile page.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment provider and renew annually until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
Free access codes are issued at our discretion, may carry limits on the number of uses and an expiry date, and may be revoked if they are shared in breach of these terms or used abusively.
We may change plan features or pricing prospectively. Any price change applies from your next renewal date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes connected with organising, running or following football matches. You must not:
• attempt to access another user's teams, players or match data, or share links and codes you were not given; • upload logos, names or other content that are unlawful, offensive, or that infringe anyone's rights; • scrape, resell, reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure; • use the app to harass, abuse or contact any other person, including through share links.
We may suspend or terminate access for breaches of these terms, and for suspected fraud or abuse of free-access codes.
5. Your content and data
You keep ownership of the content you add to the app, such as team names, player details, match results and uploaded team logos. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, display and process that content in order to run the service — including showing match information to supporters via your share links.
Player names are shown to supporters as initials and squad numbers only, and match share links are unlisted: they work only for people who have the link. Please share links responsibly, especially for youth football.
You are responsible for having an appropriate basis (for example parental consent where needed) before adding personal details of players, particularly minors, to your squads.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep PitchScore available and accurate, including the live match clock and supporter views, but the service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may suspend the service for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We recommend keeping an independent record of important match information.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PitchScore and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost enjoyment, sporting or reputational harm, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £10 if you use the app on a free plan).
8. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account data at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately for material breach of these terms.
On termination, paid subscriptions end at the close of the current billing period, and free access granted by a code ends immediately.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
